All we ask of you is that you pay what you can afford. If you genuinely want to change your fashion consumption habits, buy better and less frequently, but if price is a real barrier, then pay the subsidised Precious Gift Price. If you have a bit more disposable income and can pay the full Precious True Price, then we would be so grateful.

Fabric - Eske - Navy & Blue Herringbone, Flecked Donegal Tweed from Magees, Donegal, Ireland.
Lining - Monte 100% TENCEL (TM) twill, made in Korea. TENCEL (TM) is a sustainable, soft fibre derived from wood pulp, typically from eucalyptus trees. It's a semi-synthetic fabric made using a closed-loop process that minimizes environmental impact. TENCEL is known for its softness, durability, breathability, and moisture-wicking properties. Our TENCEL linings are sourced from Fabric Merchants in Auckland from their range of deadstock fabrics, sourced from Korea so the colour may vary with each production run.

In order to determine your size, take your hip measurement at the widest point and find your size on the table below. This pant size is denoted by the waist measurement, the most common way that men’s pants are sized for sale. The waist is slung a little low and cut straight. The leg falls from the hip with a narrowing at the hem. If you generally find you have a tight fit on the thigh, you can have a look at the size guide to see the exact measurement of the actual pant leg. If your thigh is very close to this measurement, it may be that you need a larger size. And if so, you can use a belt if you find the waist is loose.
If you are a female body and would like to wear the men’s pant, just take your hip measurement, at its widest point, and go to the size guide to see what dimension you’re closest to. You may find the waist a little loose but, as it’s slightly dropped, you may not. And of course there are wonderful belts! The hem is longer, to accommodate tall humans, so you may find you need to take it up. For all you long legged people out there, you should be able to drop the hem if it’s still short.
Please note that while we do our best to control all measurements, the fabrication and individual construction of each garment means that minor variances to the measurements listed above can occur.
Your pants are comfortable and functional and they adhere to timeless style principles. They have a flattering upwards curve at the back yoke seam which drops at the side seams to incorporate the front pocket opening. As the yoke is all one piece, the side section is slightly on the bias, making for a softer fit over the high hip.
They have well placed pockets: not to encourage a pocket slump but to store the items you need to carry with you. The contemporary side cargo panel incorporates a pocket which is sized to accommodate your phone. You can still hook your hands in there – sometimes it’s difficult to know what to do with your hands – but the pockets are placed so that a pose won’t pull them out of shape. The front pocket has a reinforced opening, good for storing small items like keys, a little uncomfortable to hang your hands in.
In classic men’s style, this pant leg drops from the hip and tapers to the hem where there is a deep hem allowance to enable plenty of flexibility with length adjustment. This men’s style has a straight waistband with large belt loops and a button fly.
These pants can be worn by women who like a narrower, more tapered shaped leg. Just measure your waist rather than your hip.
The Precious Pants are made from ‘Eske’ - Blue & Black Herringbone, Flecked Donegal Tweed, manufactured using 100% Pure New Wool. It incorporates a flecked yarn which results in a wide colour palette so you can style it with most other colours. We’ve gone for a dark, consistently stylish, navy base with a multicoloured collection of flecks in a herringbone weave. The result is a fabric which doesn’t shout too loud but which gives a solid sense of style: a style statement for the entire outfit.
The pants are lined to the knee with TENCEL (TM) known for its softness, durability, breathability, and moisture-wicking properties.
The buttons are made from Paua shells so that everything in these pants, apart from the thread, can be composted back into the ground at the end of it's life.
