The Precious Collaborative Celtic Collection of everyday garments is your opportunity to wear beautiful, timeless, tailor-made clothes at an affordable price tag. And believe us, once you experience the thrill of wearing a lined, quality garment you will not be going back to fast fashion again!
The collection has deliberately been kept uncomplicated, with five staple pieces - a woollen skirt, pinafore and pants, and a hemp shirt.

The Celtic Collection is designed by Claire O’Connell, Precious Collaborative’s founder and head designer, paying homage to her Irish ancestry. Each garment is named after an Irish river, weaving its story into that landscape.

Each garment has two price points - the Precious Gift Price, which is subsidised by the sale of the Precious Coats. And the Precious True Price which reflects the true cost of making each garment. All we ask of you is that you pay what you can afford. If you genuinely want to change your fashion consumption habits, buy better and less frequently, but if price is a real barrier, then pay the subsidised Precious Gift Price. If you have a bit more disposable income and can pay the full Precious True Price, then we would be so grateful.

Garment fit information

Tailored garments are designed to fit with a limited amount of ease. They shouldn’t be ‘tight’ but neither should they be ‘sloppy’. Precious garments are tailored so it’s best to fit your body rather than base your size on the variety of different ‘fits’ currently in the market.

With our garments, we have designed them as utilitarian, stylish pieces so we are not suggesting that any of our garments are specifically for men or women. Rather we are presenting you with items of clothing, with a specific ‘fit’, which you may choose to wear. The pants for example, because of the beautiful weave of the natural tweed and hemp, will fit around curves so you may find that you can wear either men’s or women’s ‘fit’.
So we’ve set up our sizing to help you find your fit, no matter your body type, avoiding the standard women’s sizes of 10, 12, 14 etc in favour of a hip measurement. If you have any questions about this, please let us know and we will be delighted to help.

To begin with, find your fit using the body measurement table on each garment page.

Then you decide how you like to wear your clothes. For example, with your pants, do you like a tighter fit? Or do you like a loose fit with a belt? With our skirt, do you like it on your waist or slung lower on your hip? We’ll go through some of these suggestions on each garment page so you can have a think about what suits you best. And you should find a few ideas within the photo gallery for different ways to wear each garment.

And remember these garments are designed to be worn over and again, and will be wardrobe staples that will look good today, tomorrow and at your 80th birthday bash!
